“Leave all human injustices to the Lord, for God is the judge, but to yourself, be diligent in loving everybody with a pure heart.”               St. John of Kronstadt

“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Rom 12:19-21

“…Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.” Luke 6:27-28

“…love your enemies, and do good…” Luke 6:35

[As Jesus was hanging on the cross he] prayed, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:34

“Our worst enemies are the best friends to our growth.” MBE

I’ve been listening to The Word of The Cross by Father Thomas Hopko a lot lately. I am also studying The Book of Luke for the Bible Bowl at the PLC in San Francisco this coming week. Wish my teammates and me good luck! A lot of good food for thought.
